(AKL), new zealand’s largest and busiest, is a national infrastructure that serves more than 16 million passengers annually. It is a major junction for air new zealand and Jetstar. In 2000, it accounted for 71% of the country’s international aircraft passenger traffic, highlighting its significance as a transit hub. The table underneath shows current arrival information for local and international aircraft.

AKL has two terminals, one for international flights and one for domestic flights. While being just 500 meters apart, a free bus service and a clearly marked route make it easy to get there. The international terminal serves long haul flights and offers amenities like duty free shopping, a range of dining options, and VIP lounges. Conversely, the domestic terminal covers fewer regional lines and services such as check in desks, luggage retrieval, and minimal refreshment options. Goals are being set to increase operating efficiency by consolidating all jet services into a single, bigger terminal shortly.
